Daniel 7:13-14: [Daniel is saying,] "I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and He came to the Ancient of Day and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, and all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away. And His kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.

The End is Coming:
"Nothing lasts forever." It's a phrase that has been used over the decades to describe how finite things are. Yet we do not use the phrase to describe the end of days. I have no idea why people think that this universe is ongoing.

It isn't. Maybe it's because of the perception that the universe is billions of years old and that it will last for at least another billion. Both are false assumptions. Everything that we know and have has a finite end.

Why? It's because of sin. Sin entered the world as a result of Adam and Eve's disobedience to the will of God. God made it perfect. Man messed that up. Creation now has a "shelf life." And so do we. Sin brings death. Sin is the reason that we do not live forever, the way we are.

AND...
There is an eternity of life. Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Son of Man, came and gave up His life in order to forgive the sins of people. Jesus, on the third day after His crucifixion, rose out of the grave to promise life today to live in His kingdom in this world AND His kingdom forever.

For those who do not believe in what Jesus did, it is an eternal death. We also call it hell. For those who do believe in what Jesus did, it is an eternal life. We all call it heaven.

So...
People are at an intersection of life. When you do not believe in the work and life of Jesus, Christ the King, the one who sits at the right hand side of the Ancient of Days, your eternal life will be eternal hell. When you do believe int the work and life of Jesus, Christ the King, the one who sits at the right hand side of the Ancient of Days, you will live in an eternal kingdom of love and life and grace and be with Jesus forever.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, and you will be saved and have eternal life.
