He is in Our Lives

Zephaniah 3:17: The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Let's pray. Dear God and Father, we give You thanks and praise because of Your great love for us. Move us to respond to Your love and forgiveness. We pray this in Jesus' name. And all God's children say...

This verse is the key to our lives as Christians. God our heavenly Father, God the Son Jesus who saved us from our sins, and God the Holy Spirit who empowers and strengthens us, rejoice over us who live and have our lives based upon Him. God, one essence as well as three persons, sees us and responds to us with "Jesus colored glasses."

He knows full well our sins and sinfulness. He knows full well if we were left to our own selves, we will sin our way into hell. He knows full well His love for us and the salvation of our lives that Jesus gave. He knows full well that Jesus is the fulfillment of all of God's Law for us. He knows full well Jesus' death was the sacrifice that saved us. He knows full well that Jesus' resurrection gave us a NEW LIFE to live today as well as forever.

Now what? What is our response to this reality? As Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, "Go and sin no more." "Seek first the kingdom of God and everything else will be added unto you."

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we live our lives believing and knowing that God is always with us, loving us, shaping us, and strengthening us.
