Welcome to Our Page
Where parents of our 5th through 8th grade students "meet" to learn about what is happening in Basic Lutheran Truths.
What are the Basic Lutheran Truths?
Simply put, they are the Bible, the fundamental Biblically based truths as shown to us through Martin Luther's "Small Catechism," and our history as Christians with a Lutheran, "twist."
What is the Bible?
Simply put, the Bible IS God's Word to you and me. God caused it to be written. Therefore, since God wrote it, it is inerrant, meaning it contains no errors. God the Holy Spirit inspired the historians, the prophets and the apostles to write what He wanted to be written.
What is the "Small Catechism?"
Simply put, it the six "chief parts" of the Christian faith as Martin Luther knew them to be. The chief parts are The Ten Commandments, The Apostles' Creed, The Lord's Prayer, Holy Baptism, Confession and Absolution, and Holy Communion.
What is Ahead?
What's Happening in our Groups:
In Catechesis:
We will be starting up this month with our fifth graders as they learn about Holy Communion, preparing them to receive it for the first time.
Mom and Dad: Please join us!
Pastor Robert both highly encourage you to join your child in class. Why is that? One, we want you to be confident in what your child is learning. Two, we want to encourage parental activity in the education of your child. And three, you may learn something new in the process. So please join us.

Sermon Reports:
What happens in worship on Sunday morning? We receive the service of God? When hear His Word and we receive His Sacraments, we are receiving the service of God. God is working for us, and on our behalf. Then what do we do? We, as Martin Luther in his explanation to the First Article of the Apostles' Creed, "It is our duty to thank and praise, serve and obey Him." We do this when we sing the hymns, pray, and praise God.
And the sermon is the one way where God works for us when Pastor Robert shares God's Word with us.
So, your child's report should contain the following:
1. What did Pastor Robert say?
2. What was the main point of the message?
If you need a refresher on the sermon from last Sunday, you can watch the any and all of our services on YouTube at:
