Summertime

Summer will “officially” be here on June 22, 2025.

It sure feels like summer already. The school started its’ “Summer Session” last week. The “Official Start of Summer” weekend was last weekend. And the temperature and humidity are already up.

So, it’s summer.

And summer is the season of growth. I’m not talking about grass and crops. I’m talking about the growth of your lives as disciples of God.

This is “the season after Pentecost.” The color of the season is Green, which stands for growth and life. This is the season where I take on topics that I think may be good for us to learn and about and grow. A couple of those topics are,

  • “Baggage: The stuff we carry with us we don’t need to.”

  • “Restorer of Our Lives: What God does for us”

  • “Intersection of Faith and Life: In what ways will our faith carry us into life situation.”

These are just a few.

Summer is not for us to “take a break” from God. God has never taken a break from us. Summer is for us to stay in the habit of being with each other and in the presence of God. Jesus promises that “wherever two or more are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them.”

Come and spend your summer with God, each other, and let’s grow and be strong in the Lord.
